Group Creative Director - Anomaly London

I’ve been at Anomaly London for about 6 years now. Among many other things, I’ve learned how to run global accounts with many markets, how to win big pitches without staying up all night for weeks, how to have a strong opinion but not be a total asshole about it (I hope), and how to lead creative on big, global brands with confidence.

Brands I GCD currently: Expedia, Hotels.com, Google Pixel, Cancer Research UK

Some brands I worked on: Bulb, Meta, Gordon’s, MINI, Johnnie Walker, Farfetch, Hotels.com, Coca-Cola, Unilever

Senior Copywriter - Anomaly LA

I joined when Anomaly had just opened their LA office, and spent two of the most fun years of my advertising career there. We had a small team who genuinely enjoyed each other and more work than we knew what to do with. I got to work with some amazingly talented people and ultimately was able to transfer to the London office to fulfil my dream of living in Europe. Well, almost. Thanks Brexit.

Brands I worked on: Netflix, Beats, YouTube, Snapchat, Coca-Cola Brands

I spent two years at 180LA learning a lot about working at a mid-size agency. I learned more about process, how to hold my own in big meetings, and how to produce loads of work in a short amount of time. I also worked with two of my favourite CDs ever - Mike Bokman and Jason Rappaport – who taught me almost everything I know about how to make work that’s funny.

Brands I worked on: Asics, Dollar Shave Club, Expedia, Miller Lite, HP, Boost Mobile

Copywriter - 180 LA

My first job out of school was at a small independent agency started by Keith Cartwright. It was a full-on two years of a tiny team pitching and producing ideas for huge clients. Keith helped me understand how to write a proper script, how to really push creative, and how to communicate and work together with clients to produce the best work.

Brands I worked on: Nike, LEGO, Loren Stewart, Fivestar Training, GE

Copywriter - Union Made Creative

A creative in advertising who went to VCU Brandcenter? Groundbreaking.

This was a really weird two years full of stress and a decent amount of crying, but I walked out with a book that got me a cool job, stories I still pull out at parties, and some of my very best friends for life. It was worth it.

Masters in Copywriting - VCU Brandcenter

In a former life I thought I wanted to be a trader, until I was introduced to the wild and wonderful world of advertising through a professor of mine named Mike Allen. He gave me my first copywriting internship and helped me see how fun this job can be. Thank you Mike.
